Adam Phelps, Vice President
Adam has been in the insurance industry for over 15 years as an agent, company executive and consultant. Previous experience includes being the Sr. Marketing Representative for the South Carolina Medical Association in their Financial Services Division, Sales Executive with Travelers Insurance Company, Vice President of AssureAlliance, Inc. and most recently was in charge of the Chapin Office of Russell-Massey & Co.
Adam prides himself as one who thinks outside the box and always does what is in the best interest of his clients without concern for just making the sale. Anyone can sell, but ” I believe a true professional is confident enough in his or her work that the sale will eventually come.” This combined with his expertise and years in the business lead to the creation of White Eagle Insurance Co., Inc in 2016. As one of the few SC agents qualified and has successfully created a Captive Insurance Company for a single parent company, he and his associates began working on WE’s expansion. In March of 2017, the SC Department of Insurance approved White Eagle participation to other large property management companies with portfolios in the tens, hundreds and thousands.
Adam isn’t just doing a job, he is doing what is in his blood. His Grandfather Hollis D. Phelps, Jr. owned and operated a small insurance and real estate agency in Old Town, ME until retirement.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his two kids Andrew and Mia. He also gives his time to help those in need, especially children. In 2016, Adam was appointed by Former Governor Nikki Haley to serve on the Lexington County Department of Social Services board. Along with his duties there, he is a current member and past-President of the Optimist Club of St. Andrews-Irmo and is a former Chairman of the Greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce. If that was not enough, Adam is the Head Coach for Talon Baseball 11u, currently one of the top 11u AAA teams in South Carolina. While his son Andrew plays 2nd Base, you can usually find Mia doing her cheer routine and having fun while Andrew and Dad are at the field
